Liability for Content and Links
As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law. We are not obligated, however, to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, or to investigate circumstances pointing to illegal activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected; liability in this respect is only possible from the point in time at which a specific infringement becomes known.
This site may link to external websites. We have no influence on the content of those linked sites, and no liability for it can be assumed; the respective provider or operator is responsible for their content. Linked sites were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking; permanent monitoring of linked sites without concrete indication of an infringement is not reasonable. We will remove such links promptly upon becoming aware of a legal violation.
Copyright
The content and works on these pages created by the site operator are subject to German copyright law. Duplication, processing, distribution, or any form of commercialization beyond the scope of copyright law requires the prior written consent of the respective author. Downloads and copies of this site are permitted only for private, non-commercial use. Where content on this site was not created by the operator, third-party copyrights are respected and such content is marked as such.
The Sailwright software itself is licensed separately from this website's content — see About for the AGPLv3 / commercial dual-license details.
Dispute Resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (OS): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not obliged, and generally not willing, to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Privacy Policy
What happens to your data when you visit this website.
Data Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Carl-Christian Sautter, Am Petershof 2b, 95349 Thurnau, Germany — cc(at)sautter.cc, +49 151 651 78 990.
Hosting and Server Log Files
When you visit this website, the hosting infrastructure automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits, in server log files. This typically includes browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of the server request, and IP address. This data is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a technically stable and secure website, is not combined with other data sources, and is retained only as long as needed for that purpose.
Cookies and Tracking
This website does not set analytics, marketing, or tracking cookies, and does not embed third-party trackers. The only cookie the underlying TYPO3 system may set is a technical session cookie for editors logging into the backend to manage content — it is not set for ordinary visitors browsing the public pages.
Contacting Us
If you contact us by email or phone using the details on the Contact page, we store the information you provide (e.g. your contact details and message) only to process your inquiry and to answer any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to third parties without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (to respond to your request) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling inquiries addressed to us). Data from such inquiries is deleted once your request has been conclusively resolved and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the German state where you live, work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the website or applicable legal requirements. The version published here is the one currently in effect.
Software License
The Sailwright software distributed from this project is dual-licensed: open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPLv3), or under a separate commercial license for closed-source or SaaS use. See the About page for details, or contact us for commercial licensing terms.
